Hasu Concept

After having established our niche within the longboard market we have been naturally progressing towards the whole ‘retro movement’ which has grown from both the longboard revival and also the search & experimentation of wave riding equipment that is both enjoyable and functional by individuals the world over.

Alongside the name ‘Nineplus’ in 2005 we started to introduce the ‘Lotus Flower’ as we felt it represented surfing and our approach to life through its depth of characteristics and unique, individual beauty.

It is with this in mind that we have started using the wording ‘HASU’ also what is now our company emblem. ‘HASU’ is taken from ‘Hasu No Hana’ - Japanese for ‘The Lotus Flower’ we have simply continued to use our ‘Lotus Logo’ and added in addition to ‘Nineplus’ the word that reflects the basis of our company.

As ‘HASU’ moves the company from its core longboard beginnings into the full exposure of the ‘post modern’ movement, a path we have been following for a while, we trust you enjoy the continuing growth through the company as it opens into bloom.
